CHIANG MAI – On August 8, 2025, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU) held a ceremony to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, on the occasion of her 93rd birthday on August 12.

The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Chatree Maneekosol, President of CMRU, and attended by the university’s executive board, faculty members, staff, and students. Community leaders from Jedee Plong, Khuang Singh Phatthana, Ban Ku Tao Phatthana, and Si Mongkhon communities also participated.

The event took place in the Ueang Kam Meeting Room at the Rajabhat Chalerm Phrakiat Building on the Wiang Bua campus in Mueang District, Chiang Mai.

A special performance titled “Rattaphatthuma Nom Wantha Phraphanpi Si Phaendin” was presented by students from the Department of Dance Education. The performance was trained and supervised by instructors Sub-Lieutenant Sarayut Ongsaengkhun and Chamaiporn Chantrawiboon from the Faculty of Education.

Following the ceremony, President Chatree Maneekosol, along with representatives from the executive board, faculty, and staff, planted pink trumpet trees and flame trees next to the university’s football field. The College of International was also represented at the event by its dean, faculty members, and staff.

This annual ceremony honors Her Majesty’s significant contributions and serves as a moment of unity for the university and its surrounding communities.
