History
In 2007, under the leadership of Associate Professor Dr. Rungdej Wongla, Rector of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, a policy was initiated to promote language excellence and develop high-quality graduates capable of pursuing careers and serving society and the nation in the future. As a result, the English Program was established with the aim of producing graduates from various disciplines who are proficient in English, opening up opportunities for international students to study at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University and laying the foundation for the future establishment of international programs.
The English Program has received a positive response and attracted a significant number of students. In response, the university decided to establish the International College to oversee international education and strengthen the university’s international network. This aligns with the university’s strategic policy of achieving language excellence and the government’s policy of promoting Thailand as an education hub in Asia.
In 2007, the first year of the English Program, the Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Arts in Business English programs from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences were used as the starting point for English-language instruction. Additionally, exchange students from Guangxi University for Nationalities were admitted to the Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business program, and other exchange students were admitted to other programs under the English Program.
2009
วันที่ 1 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2552 มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ได้จัดตั้งวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ เป็นหน่วยงานภายในของมหาวิทยาลัย โดยมี ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธรรมกิตติ์ ธรรมโม รองอธิการบดี รักษาการในตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ
มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ได้จัดตั้งวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ เป็นหน่วยงานภายในของมหาวิทยาลัย
พัฒนาหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต ระดับปริญญาตรี ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรนานาชาติ จำนวน 2 สาขาวิชา
– สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารระหว่างประเทศ (หลักสูตร พ.ศ. 2553)
– สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษธุรกิจระหว่างประเทศ (หลักสูตร พ.ศ. 2553)
2011
พัฒนาหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต ระดับปริญญาตรีเพิ่มอีก จำนวน 1 สาขาวิชา คือ สาขาวิชาภาษาจีนธุรกิจ และได้เปิดสอนในปีการศึกษา 2555
19 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2554 มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ได้แต่งตั้ง อาจารย์ ดร.นิตยา สงวนงาม เป็นรักษาการผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ
2013
1 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2556 ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อนุวัติ ศรีแก้ว ได้รับการแต่งตั้งเป็นผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ
2014
วิทยาลัยนานาชาติได้ครบวาระการปรับปรุงหลักสูตรระดับปริญญาตรี ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรนานาชาติ จำนวน 2 หลักสูตร ดังนี้
– หลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารระหว่างประเทศ (หลักสูตรปรับปรุง พ.ศ. 2558)
– หลักสูตรบริหารธุรกิจบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาการจัดการธุรกิจนานาชาติ (หลักสูตรปรับปรุง พ.ศ. 2558)
27 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2557 สภามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ได้มีประกาศ เรื่อง การจัดตั้งวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ พ.ศ. 2557 ให้วิทยาลัยนานาชาติเป็นส่วนงานภายในที่มีฐานะเทียบเท่าคณะในมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ และมีการแบ่งส่วนงานภายในสำนักงานคณบดีวิทยาลัยนานาชาติเป็น 2 ส่วน ดังนี้ 1.งานบริหารงานทั่วไป, 2.งานวิจัยและบริการการศึกษา
26 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2557 สภามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ได้มีมติเห็นชอบในการจัดตั้งภาควิชาในวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ จึงได้ออกประกาศมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ เรื่อง การจัดตั้งภาควิชาในวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ พ.ศ. 2557 โดยให้จัดตั้งภาควิชาจำนวน 2 ภาควิชา ดังนี้ 1. ภาควิชาภาษาและการสื่อสารเชิงสร้างสรรค์, 2.ภาควิชาการจัดการธุรกิจเชิงนวัตกรรม
1 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2557 ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อนุวัติ ศรีแก้ว ได้รับการแต่งตั้งเป็นคณบดีวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ
2016
วิทยาลัยนานาชาติ ได้ครบวาระการปรับปรุงหลักสูตรระดับปริญญาตรี จำนวน 1 หลักสูตร คือ หลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาจีนธุรกิจ (หลักสูตรปรับปรุง พ.ศ. 2560)
2017
วิทยาลัยนานาชาติได้พัฒนาหลักสูตรระดับปริญญาตรี ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรนานาชาติ เพิ่มเติมอีก จำนวน 2 หลักสูตร ดังนี้
– หลักสูตรบริหารธุรกิจบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาการจัดการธุรกิจการบิน (หลักสูตรใหม่ พ.ศ. 2561)
– หลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาไทยเพื่อการสื่อสารทางธุรกิจ(หลักสูตรใหม่ พ.ศ. 2561)
2018
1 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2561 ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อนุวัติ ศรีแก้ว ได้รับการแต่งตั้งเป็นคณบดีวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ วาระที่ 2 จนถึงปัจจุบัน เพื่อกำกับดูแลการดำเนินงานของวิทยาลัยนานาชาติให้เป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพต่อไป

วิทยาลัยนานาชาติได้ครบวาระการปรับปรุงหลักสูตรระดับปริญญาตรี ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรนานาชาติ จำนวน 2 หลักสูตร ดังนี้
