The International College of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU) successfully organized the “Light of Yi Peng 2025” activity, offering students an opportunity to engage with and appreciate the rich cultural traditions of the region.
The event took place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, on the 15th floor of the 90th Anniversary Building at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
The ‘Light of Yi Peng’ activity was designed to:
Promote cultural understanding among international and Thai students.
Celebrate the traditional Yi Peng Festival (also known as the Lanna or Northern Thai Floating Lantern Festival).
Strengthen bonds and foster a sense of community within the International College.
Students participated in various activities related to the festival, embodying the spirit of community and the beautiful Lanna culture.
