Chiang Mai Rajabhat University International College Organizes Thai New Year Water Pouring Ceremony to Seek Blessings from Elders
On April 17, 2025, the International College of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University held a traditional Thai New Year water pouring ceremony (“Rod Nam Dam Hua”) to pay respects to senior faculty members and seek their blessings for good fortune during the Songkran festival, also known as Thai New Year.
This activity was integrated into the curriculum of the English for Communication program. The ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished figures from the International College, including Distinguished Professor Dr. Sanchai Chaitusittha and Mr. Julaneet Wangwiwat, along with the Dean of the International College, Associate Professor Dr. Sutthinan Chuenchom.
The event also included the presentation of certificates to students who have dedicated their time and effort to assist the International College in various activities, as well as to students who have demonstrated academic excellence and diligence in their studies.
The water pouring ceremony was filled with a warm and amicable atmosphere, highlighting the significance of Thai cultural traditions and the strong relationship between faculty members and students at the International College of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.

เมื่อวันที่ 17 เมษายน 2568 วิทยาลัยนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ ได้จัดกิจกรรมรดน้ำดำหัวขอพรผู้ใหญ่ และอาจารย์ที่เคารพ เพื่อเป็นการแสดงความเคารพ ขมาลาโทษ และขอรับพรเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล เนื่องในเทศกาลสงกรานต์ หรือวันปีใหม่ไทย
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของรายวิชาในหลักสูตรภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร โดยได้รับเกียรติจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิของวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ Distinguished Professor Dr. Sanchai Chaitusittha และ Mr.Julaneet Wangwiwat พร้อมด้วย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุทธินันท์ ชื่นชม คณบดีวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ เข้าร่วมในพิธี
ภายในงานยังมีการมอบเกียรติบัตรเพื่อเป็นการเชิดชูเกียรตินักศึกษาที่มีความเสียสละ ตั้งใจช่วยเหลือวิทยาลัยนานาชาติในการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่ผ่านมา รวมถึงนักศึกษาที่มีความตั้งใจในการศึกษาเล่าเรียนและมีผลการเรียนดีเด่น
กิจกรรมรดน้ำดำหัวในครั้งนี้ เต็มไปด้วยบรรยากาศที่อบอุ่นและเป็นกันเอง แสดงให้เห็นถึงความสำคัญของวัฒนธรรมประเพณีไทย และความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างคณาจารย์และนักศึกษาของวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่
