Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU) welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Thailand for an official visit and a special keynote lecture aimed at fostering academic collaboration and educational exchange.
On March 26, 2026, at 9:30 AM, Associate Professor Dr. Chatree Maneekosol, President of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, alongside university executives, faculty members, and students, extended a warm welcome to H.E. Ms. Eeva Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Thailand. The event took place at the Excellence Center in Aviation, MICE, and Hospitality, located on the 2nd floor of the 90th Anniversary Building.
The visit commenced with a tour of the Excellence Center, showcasing the university’s modern facilities and specialized training programs. Following the tour, President Dr. Chatree Maneekosol delivered a welcoming speech and presented a commemorative gift to the Ambassador, symbolizing the strong ties between the university and the Republic of Finland.
The highlight of the event was a special lecture titled “The Success of Finland’s Education System” delivered by Ambassador Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos. During her session, she shared the core principles behind Finland’s world-renowned education model, emphasizing quality, equality, and student-centered learning. The lecture provided invaluable insights for educators and students alike, sparking inspiration for the future of educational development in the region.

ในโอกาสนี้ ท่านทูตได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมศักยภาพของศูนย์การเรียนรู้เพื่อความเป็นเลิศทางด้านการบินฯ ซึ่งเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้สำคัญของมหาวิทยาลัย ก่อนเข้าสู่ช่วงพิธีการโดยอธิการบดีได้กล่าวต้อนรับและมอบของที่ระลึกเพื่อแสดงถึงสัมพันธไมตรีอันดีระหว่างสองประเทศ
ไฮไลต์สำคัญของงานคือการบรรยายพิเศษในหัวข้อ “The Success of Finland’s Education System” โดยท่านทูต Ms. Eeva Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos ซึ่งได้ถ่ายทอดแนวคิดและปัจจัยเบื้องหลังความสำเร็จของระบบการศึกษาฟินแลนด์ที่มุ่งเน้นคุณภาพ ความเท่าเทียม และการพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้เรียนอย่างยั่งยืน การบรรยายดังกล่าวได้รับความสนใจอย่างยิ่งจากคณะอาจารย์และนักศึกษา เพื่อนำแนวทางไปปรับใช้ในการพัฒนาการเรียนการสอนในบริบทของท้องถิ่นต่อไป
