Chiang Mai, July 9, 2024 – The International College, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU), led by Associate Professor Dr. Sutthinan Chuenchom, Dean of the International College, along with faculty members and staff, participated in the annual Buddhist Lent (Khao Phansa) tradition by offering candles at two significant temples in Chiang Mai province.
In the morning, the college’s administrators, faculty, and staff journeyed to Wat Khuang Singh to offer Buddhist Lent candles. This act serves as a tribute to the Buddha and symbolizes bringing the light of wisdom into life, a belief deeply rooted in Buddhist tradition. Khao Phansa is a significant Buddhist observance when practitioners commonly make merit and offer candles for auspiciousness.
Later that same afternoon, the faculty and staff of the International College joined the Buddhist Lent candle offering ceremony organized by Chiang Mai Rajabhat University at Wat Chiang Chom. The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Chartree Maneekosol, President of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University. These activities underscore the university’s and the International College’s commitment to fostering morality, ethics, and preserving the nation’s rich cultural heritage.

ในช่วงเช้า คณะผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ และบุคลากรของวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ ได้เดินทางไปถวายเทียนพรรษา ณ วัดข่วงสิงห์ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเป็นพุทธบูชาและเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการนำแสงสว่างแห่งปัญญามาสู่ชีวิต ดังเช่นความเชื่อที่สืบทอดกันมาในพุทธศาสนา วันเข้าพรรษาถือเป็นวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาที่พุทธศาสนิกชนนิยมทำบุญและถวายเทียนพรรษาเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล
ในบ่ายวันเดียวกัน คณะอาจารย์และบุคลากรวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีถวายเทียนพรรษาของมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ ณ วัดเชียงโฉม โดยมี รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชาตรี มณีโกศล อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ เป็นประธานในพิธี กิจกรรมนี้แสดงให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นของมหาวิทยาลัยและวิทยาลัยนานาชาติในการส่งเสริมคุณธรรม จริยธรรม และการสืบทอดประเพณีวัฒนธรรมอันดีงามของชาติให้คงอยู่สืบไป
