Principles and Rationale
Currently, there is a continuous increase in the popularity of learning Thai among foreigners, particularly Chinese individuals. The significant reasons for coming to learn Thai are due to several factors, including the desire to pursue careers in Thailand, such as Chinese language teachers, tour guides, doing business with Thai people, etc. In addition, a considerable number of Chinese individuals learn Thai because they have a genuine interest in the Thai language and wish to learn about Thai arts and culture, such as Thai cooking, Thai dance, Thai art, and banana leaf and flower arrangement.
Therefore, the Thai for Business Communication Program, Department of Languages and Creative Communication, International College, has organized a short training course on Thai Language and Culture for Foreigners to promote the dissemination of Thai language and culture to foreigners.
Objectives
- To conduct a short training course on Thai Language and Culture for Foreigners.
- To encourage foreign students to develop their language skills and learn about Thai culture, as well as to foster a positive attitude towards Thailand.
